Rita Ora and Taika Waititi share a loving kiss as they dress to the nines at 2023 Vanity Fair party

October 2024 · 12 minute read

Rita Ora and husband, Taika Waititi, shared a romantic kiss as the couple stylishly attended the 2023 Vanity Fair Oscars party in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

The You Only Love Me hitmaker, 32, was an ethereal beauty in bridal white, corseted gown with a full tulle skirt, while the filmmaker, 47, was dapper in a tailored black suit.

The two lovebirds, who publicly confirmed in January that they had officially tied the knot last year, stopped by the star-studded CAA pre-Oscars event earlier Friday ahead of Hollywood's biggest night.

The British-born singer put on a breathtaking display upon arriving at the Wallis Anneberg Center to join other A-listers in the industry, such as Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts, as well as Chrissy Teigen and John Legend

The strapless white corset portion of the dress was securely fastened in the back, and molded to Rita's toned frame.

The bottom portion was a full, white skirt that was made of strands of tulle that were connected to the corset with silver hoops for an edgy flare.

She accessorized the dress with an eye-catching, diamond necklace that wrapped around her neck and also contained green emeralds for a pop of color.

The Fifty Shades Of Grey actress further glammed up her look by adding a pair of silver, dangly earrings that sparkled under the bright lights.

Silver bracelets were worn on her left wrist for a finishing touch to her extravagant jewelry for the special night.

Her curly brunette locks were parted in the middle, and combed back to effortlessly fall down behind her.

The singer's makeup was classically done for the event, and comprised of a layer of black mascara and liner as well as a shimmering silver shadow around her eyes.

A rosy pink blush and contour was added to better accentuate her cheekbones, while darker, nude-colored matte tint was worn on her lips for a bold touch.

The beauty turned her back towards the flashing cameras to showcase the corseted, prince-styled gown she had donned for the glitzy affair.

Her husband, Taika, also dressed to impress as he accompanied his wife to the annual party.

The filmmaker is no stranger to the Oscars, and received his first Academy Award back in 2020 for Best Adapted Screenplay for the film, Jojo Rabbit.

The New Zealand-born star opted for a double-breasted, black suit jacket along with matching black slacks.

Instead of donning a classic white dress shirt underneath, the comedian wore a black button-up with a sequin collar. To complete his overall look for the night, he slipped into a pair of shiny, black dress shoes.

Rita and Taika, who were first linked in April 2021, cuddled close while pausing for a brief photo session at the venue, and were seen holding hands and later, sharing a kiss on the lips.

The filmmaker also laid a gentle peck on her forehead, causing the singer to flash a small smile. Although the couple had tied the knot last year in summer 2022, Rita officially confirmed the nuptials this year in January.

During an interview on Heart Breakfast while promoting her new single, You Only Love Me, she had been asked if she was married, prompting the songstress to respond with, 'Yes. Here we are.'

'They say everything happens for a reason. I am officially off the market, people!' the Let You Love Me hitmaker gushed.

Rita then explained later during the interview that the wedding ceremony had not only been 'perfect,' but was also, 'exactly, exactly how I wanted it.'

She also opened up about the track, You Only Love Me, which was inspired by the speculation surrounding their nuptials. 'When the rumors came out is she, isn't she? I wanted to play on it,' she stated, per People.

'I wanted to do a wedding that didn't go to plan… that's not to say that is actually what happened...'

Ora added, 'I've chosen to keep it more private this sort of experience I had, but I did want to play on what could have been. So this is what I'm giving to the public on what could have been.'

After confirming her marriage, Rita showed off her unique, green emerald engagement ring when stopping by The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon earlier last month in February. At the time, she revealed that she had actually, 'never shown anyone.'

While showing the ring to the talk show host, the singer and actress gushed, 'He did good.'

Rita also informed Jimmy that she had been a part of picking out the ring. 'I just think, like, when you know what you want and I felt like I really knew that I wanted to be with this person, I just wanted it to feel really right.'

'I may have taken him to the shop and I may have pointed out exactly what ring I wanted.'

The happy duo were seen at the CAA pre-Oscars party held on Friday, and the singer put on a sultry display wearing a sheer, black co-ord set.

Her husband had opted for stylish comfort wearing black trousers and a plain white shirt. A black jacket was layered on top for a fashionable edge.

During the 95th Academy Awards, Everything Everywhere All At Once swept the ceremony, and garnered a whopping total of seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Director, and also Best Supporting Actor.
